I think I read something about that brain hacking. But I don’t even use wireless, so what do I care?
Good for the disabled to be able to fly around virtually, but wouldn’t it require strict mental discipline to use your brain as a controller? I want to be able to think whatever I want without fear of it accidentally ending up becoming an action in the real world. Hands are much easier to keep still than a mind.
Opera has something called “mouse gestures”, and as soon as I accidentally made one it asked me if I wanted to disable them. Yes! I want to be able to move the mouse around without doing things on accident. Enough accidents happen when I accidentally click in the wrong place, or press a bad combination involving ALT and/or CTRL keys.
And hey, I was about to post a video or two, and apparently WordPress wanted to update the database. I didn’t uh.. ‘press on’, because I didn’t want to inadvertently ruin anything in case this site requires special precautions before updating something. Better safe than sorry.
I use mouse gestures on my browsers, occasionally a wrong one will happen but not too often. I guess we’ll just have to get used to neural input when they’re available, but they won’t be compulsory anytime soon.
Database updated – the update process is automatic and when it shows that message it’s all done except that little formality, so next time it crops up just go right ahead. There’s backups if anything blows up in any case.
